Baroque Era
The Baroque Period is a time of a lot of artworks. This period of time lasted from the early 17th Century, and lasted until the late 18th century. This was a time when many catholic artworks were created. The Baroque style involves many emotions the. The Catholic Church, encouraged the baroque style, saying that the style was able to link and communicate directly to religious themes.
Not only was the Baroque Artworks flowing with emotions, but their Sculptures were stand-outs too. The sculptures looked even more realistic, and were placed on many new and existing buildings, churches and cathedrals.
The most famous example of Baroque architecture is the Palace of Versailles, in France. In 1661, King Louis XIV commissioned this palace to be built.
